Today I Researched... the Most Peaceful Countries

I honestly didn't know that this was a thing. How is it even possible to measure which country is the most peaceful? I guess there are metrics for this to determine which countries are peaceful and which ones are not. Among the top, is New Zealand, Portugal, and Austria. At the bottom, there is Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria. So in general, the most peaceful area is Europe, while the Middle East is the least peaceful.

Peace is measured based on a few things: amount of conflict (domestic and global), social security, and militarization of the area. I do not know how it is possible to rank these countries in these categories because all countries have lots of problems that they have to deal with. North America is the second most peaceful region, following Europe, and I am extremely glad to live here. America is the land of the free and opportunity and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else, even if we have a president who isn't the most knowledgable about what he is doing. Peace is a very important thing and countries need to start thinking about themselves in a holistic way so we can have world peace.
